Sanitary Pads for Adolescent Girls

Lack of access to menstrual hygiene products is one of the leading causes of school absenteeism among adolescent girls in Malawi. El Chay Foundation distributes free sanitary pads to adolescent girls in schools and communities across Mzuzu, ensuring that menstruation is never a barrier to education.

The programme includes menstrual health education sessions delivered by trained health workers, empowering girls with knowledge about their bodies, hygiene practices, and their rights. We work closely with schools, parents, and local health authorities to reach the most vulnerable girls.
