Nutrition Support — Porridge for CBCCs

El Chay Foundation supplies nutritious porridge to Community-Based Childcare Centres (CBCCs) across Mzuzu and surrounding areas. Many children attending CBCCs come from food-insecure households and arrive without breakfast, making it difficult to concentrate and learn. Our nutrition programme ensures every child receives a warm, fortified porridge meal each morning, supporting healthy growth, improved school attendance, and better cognitive development.

We partner with local CBCCs, community health workers, and caregivers to monitor nutritional outcomes and ensure consistent supply of quality ingredients.
