Transformation of Northern Malawi’s cultural heritage into a sustainable digital economy
The Northern Malawi Creative Bridge is a collaborative initiative between El Chay Foundation and Eva Demaya Centre designed to transform Northern Malawi’s cultural heritage into a sustainable digital economy. The project addresses the "double loss" of disappearing traditional skills and high youth unemployment by creating a formal value chain. It connects 50 master artisans from Rumphi with 150 marginalized youth and women from Mzuzu, facilitating the transfer of at-risk skills in textiles, carving, and music.
